Mold Remediation

Inspection and Testing
GearClean will identify specific problems and their sources before recommending tailored solutions to ensure mold and mildew problems are dealt with properly and permanently. In cases where problems are obvious, the testing step may include nothing more than a visual walk-through. In other cases GearClean may work with 3rd party independent Industrial Hygienist who employs air sampling techniques, surface swabs and even thermal imaging to provide benchmark data about contaminants that may be present. Trying to remove mold without the proper remediation procedures and equipment could result in releasing thousands of mold spores throughout your home or building.
Treatment
The GearClean trained technicians follow a detailed scope of work to contain, clean and remove mold. Mold remediation is performed with a focus on safety, our technicians our trained in the latest containment procedures. HEPA air filtration systems and HEPA vacuums are utilized extensively to minimize any kind of cross contamination. GearClean does not utilize any biocides solutions or toxic and hazardous chemicals in the remediation process. We employ advanced cleaning technologies including dry ice cleaning and mPale anti-microbial products to eliminate harmful mold and mold spores.
Why Dry Ice Cleaning
Dry ice cleaning is an approved by the EPA, USDA & FDA, and is non-toxic, non-hazardous and inhibits mold & bacteria growth. Dry ice cleaning removes molds and 99.9% of mold spores. Dry ice cleaning is the best mold removal technology and eliminates the need for biocides and other harmful chemicals. In addition dry ice cleaning replaces the time consuming sanding and scraping process and can reach areas between beams and sheeting that traditional mold remediation methods cannot.
Verification
Once the remediation work is completed BUT before any new surface materials are reintroduced, verification testing is performed to ensure the goal of remediation has been met.
